Gnomotempo Guide
Quick Start
Start / Stop
Use the big Start/Stop button. The first time it may take a second — the audio engine is warming up.
Tempo
Adjust with ± buttons or the slider. Long-press ± for fast changes.
Quick presets
Save your current setup or apply the “Safe” preset to return to stable values anytime.
Main Controls
Tempo (20–300 BPM)
Direct input with Tap Tempo (tap the rhythm). Long-press “Tap” to enter BPM manually.
Beats per bar
Change beats per bar, up to 16.
Accents
Set accents per beat: Strong / Medium / Soft / Mute.
Note: the accent editor is temporarily disabled when Polyrhythm is active.
Advanced Features
Tempo Trainer
Automatically increase or decrease tempo every X seconds, or pyramid mode.
Polyrhythm
3:2, 4:3, 5:4 patterns. Accent editor pauses while active.
Mixer
Volume and panning for each voice.
Groove
Swing and humanize controls for a more organic feel.
Sound
Choose sound pack and tweak pitch/color.
Count-in
Plays 1–2 bars before starting.
FAQ
Start button does nothing
- Force-quit and reopen the app.
- Check for stuck Bluetooth devices.
- After an update: Settings → “Reset everything”.
No click sound
- Turn up system volume.
- Check Silent/Focus mode.
- Make sure audio isn’t routed to AirPlay/Bluetooth.
- Force reload: switch sound pack and back to “Classic”.
Reset settings
In Settings you have:
• “Advanced reset” → only the advanced features
• “Reset everything” → restarts audio engine (section visibility is preserved).
